I'm loving this!
I LOOOVE giveaways, but I also love unique things. I found something that encompasses both of those loves. There's this new (well, new to me at least) line of watches called WeWOOD, and the watches are made of, you guessed it, WOOD. Normally if someone told me that they had a watch made of wood, I'd think they were some weirdo hippie, but these are gorgeous and unique! They're so high in demand that they are back-ordered! You can look at them here: http://we-wood.us/, but not only are they pleasing to my eyes, but they do something amazing when you purchase one. They plant a tree for every watch they sell. I love companies that give back (a la TOMS' One For One program.. LOVE IT), so this company just earned major points with me. I learned of them through a blog I follow called Momma Told Me, and the lovely owner of said blog is doing a giveaway to make one of these pretty watches your own. Her giveaway is found here:

Worries...
Things have been so beyond upside down in my life right now. I don't even know where to start or if I should. I start school in less than 12 hours, and I still have no funds for books. It hurts to know that I have almost nobody to turn to anymore. I miss the old days of feeling somewhat loved by my family... Right now, all I want is to move away and start over. *sigh*
I've also been thinking about my uncle, a lot. I miss him so much, it's painful. There's so many things I see or do and just think "Oh, Mark would like this!" or "I should ask Mark...", and then I remember that I can't and that I will never be able to do so again. I didn't know this would hurt so bad. It's officially 8 months that he's been gone, and it hurts as much as day 1. I wish I could just talk to him one more time and tell him how much he means to me and how grateful I am to have known him. I don't know what to do with all this pain anymore...
On the positive side, David had to go to San Diego for work, so I tagged along, and we ended up visiting my good friend and going to the zoo (we have passes we got for Christmas). It was a lot of fun and gave me a glimpse of the happiness I used to feel. I reallyhope things change soon, as our lease is up at the end of next month, and we have nowhere to go nor the $ to do so. I'm so nervous and stressed all the time that I am literally making myself physically sick, so this little random trip to San Diego was definitely needed. Anyway, I had forgotten about this blog, not that anyone reads it, but I will try to update it more often. Off to watch YouTube Videos and read beauty blogs.

Oh how I love contests...
Recently, I've been reading a lot of fashion and beauty blogs and communities, and one thing I have noticed is that there are two kinds of posters. There are the ones who post all the time without ever actually feeling connected to their readers, and then there are the ones like BlushingNoir, who post hauls, give tips, and actually care about their readers! The second type of posters usually do incredible giveaways, like BlushingNoir's here: http://blushingnoir.blogspot.com/2011/04/500-follower-giveaway-its-obviously.html
and what I find the best about all of it is that a lot of times, the prizes have been bought at their own expense! I love contests of all kinds, but these are especially fun, since I really don't have the $ to be spending on nicer makeup or clothing, this is my little chance to win something I would never be able to own otherwise. So here's a big thank you to all the bloggers and giveawayers (yes, I realize that's not a word) who make poor people like me happy to have a chance (as slim as it may be) to win something! :)
